New Edwards’s Pheasant posters in Viet Nature’s awareness raising campaign

Hanoi – With the expectation of benefiting from community support in search for any wild Edwards’s Pheasant Lophura edwardsi population remaining, Viet Nature Conservation Centre has just introduced a new poster in their awareness raising campaign.

With a new picture of two real male and female Edwards’s Pheasants, instead of an illustrative drawing as in the old versions, along with detailed descriptions and identification of the species, Viet Nature hope that the new poster will provide a closer view, raising communities’ awareness of the species and its status, at the same time calling for local support in searching and step by step ensuring the sustainable existence of Edwards’s Pheasant.

The new posters are intended to be distributed among the bird’s historical range in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien Hue provinces. In addition, the posters will also be sent to relevant agencies, local authorities, conservation organizations, and village community houses with the purpose of enhancing its influentiality and popularity.
